The Institute for Children with Diabetes was born with the tagline “Here we learn

how to win.” It is a non-profit private entity that renders free assistance to patients

based on a threefold approach: Education in Diabetes, Treatment

(with access to new technologies) through Day-Hospital, Ambulatory Care and

Hot Line,  and Social Assistance.

The Rio Grande do Sul society, companies, and private individuals have been

actively participating in the development of this work, from the construction and

equipment provisioning of the building, from 2000 to this date, through the

donation of financial resources, sponsorships, and volunteer work.

We work on a daily basis to provide families and patients with a life free of

diabetes related complications, through better control of the disease and

reduced hospital inpatient care.
